Ebola-Infected Nurse Nina Pham Says She Is 'Doing Well'

Nina Pham, The Dallas nurse who was infected by the Ebola virus while treating his patient,  Thomas Eric Duncan says that she is doing well and grateful for her care. "I'm doing well and want to thank everyone for their kind wishes and prayers,” Nina Pham said Tuesday in a statement released by the hospital. “I am blessed by the support of family and friends and am blessed to be cared for by the best team of doctors and nurses in the world here at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas."
Pham is the first person to catch Ebola from another person on U.S. soil. But healthcare workers in Liberia have had a high risk. Three U.S. doctors have been infected while treating patients: medical missionaries Dr. Kent Brantly and Dr. Rick Sacra, and an unidentified World Health Organization doctor who is still being treated at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta.
